ABOUT

What is the GoGIN+ project?

The GoGIN+ project (Gulf of Guinea Inter-regional Network – Extension), financed by the European Union, is a direct extension of the GoGIN project, which was started in 2016 and completed in October 2021. Its aim is to contribute to maritime safety and security in the Gulf of Guinea in order to promote the blue economy and the economic development of countries. Specifically, the GOGIN+ project supports the deployment, within the maritime authorities of the Gulf of Guinea, of the maritime information sharing and incident management platform called YARIS (Yaoundé Architecture Regional Information System), developed and designed in close partnership with the Yaoundé Architecture authorities.
