Six operators from COVAM (Spanish Navy Maritime Surveillance and Security Centre) were trained on the YARIS platform on 16 and 17 February 2023, in Cartagena (Spain).
The YARIS trainer of the European project GoGIN+, Diego Ron, presented all the functionalities of YARIS, and explained how to create specific recognised maritime pictures (RMP). The participants were able to exchange with the two regional centres of the Yaoundé architecture, CRESMAC and CRESMAO.
As a result of this workshop, the staff of COVAM is ready to use the YARIS system to be in contact with the Yaoundé architecture centres and the vessels deployed in the area.
