In line with the strategy to transfer ownership of the YARIS platform to the region, a YARIS 2.0 training session was held from September 3 to 5 in Lomé. The event brought together maritime stakeholders from Zone E, including representatives from national centers and the Yaoundé architecture, in collaboration with ECOWAS Commission and was led by @OlivierBichon.
The primary objective was to familiarize participants with updates to the YARIS user interface, enabling them to transfer the knowledge gained to their respective teams upon returning to their centers. Their active engagement played a pivotal role in the success of the training.
Participants also contributed by drafting a user report to provide feedback on the platform’s new features, which will be submitted to political authorities as part of discussions on the transfer process between GoGIN II and the Gulf of Guinea region.
Let’s highlight this week’s training special guests, included GoGIN’s strategic director, the chief of staff of togolese minister’s for the sea, the maritime prefect of Togo, the EU delegation representative in Togo, and, the head of regional security at ECOWAS.
