The 2024 edition, with Ireland as the country of honor , welcomed a delegation of 50 Irish representatives , illustrating the desire to expand collaborations and intensify Franco-Irish exchanges around maritime technologies. Participants gathered around 3 high-level sessions and around thirty workshops addressing various topics such as the environment, submarine cables, drones, security, AI and many others.
With 15% of students present , Sea Tech Week® also served as a springboard for young talents, offering a unique learning and networking space for future professionals in the sector.
This year, Sea Tech Week® also innovated with its very first Job Dating. Ten companies , from various maritime sectors, met young people and professionals looking for opportunities. This new format allowed for direct and informal exchanges between recruiters and candidates, strengthening the link between generations and talents in the maritime field.
In addition, the show featured 35 exhibitors who presented cutting-edge maritime solutions in areas such as cybersecurity, renewable energy and underwater surveillance. Visitors were able to discover innovations and interact with companies, reinforcing the impact of this event as a driver of new collaborations.
In 2026, Sea Tech Week® will return with new ambitions to support the transition towards a more sustainable and secure maritime future with Portugal as the country of honour.
