In preparation for GANO 2024, the YARIS project team went on a mission to Brest from September 23 to 26, 2024.
The mission mainly aimed to present YARIS 2.0, which will facilitate the exchange of information between participants, including officials involved in African Relations and Maritime Domain Awareness for the Gulf of Guinea (MDAT GOG); but it also served to strengthen the partnership with CECLANT.
An important meeting with the CECLANT deputy highlighted the strategic importance of the project, which made it possible to recognize the operational potential of YARIS 2.0.
This opportunity laid the foundation for future collaborations and highlighted the importance of regional partnerships in improving maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea.
The presentation of YARIS 2.0 is part of a broader strategic “capacity building” plan, essential to addressing security challenges in the region.
